Ultimate Chocolate Chip Brownies

Rich, decadent brownies with a perfect fudgy texture that melts in your mouth.

 

Recipe makes 12 large brownies.

   Ingredients

  • 230g/8.1oz salted butter
  • 450g/15.8oz caster sugar
  • 200g/7oz milk chocolate (made for cooking)
  • 5 medium eggs
  • 110g/4oz plain flour
  • 60g/2.1oz cocoa powder

 

 

 

   Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190*C (375*F)/ 170C Fan/ Gas 5. Line baking tray with baking paper.
  2. In a medium pan, slowly melt the butter.
  3. Gradually add the sugar into the butter until combined.
  4. Break chocolate and stir in until melted, then remove pan from the heat
  5. Beats the eggs in.
  6. Stir in the dry ingredients, and whisk until smooth.
  7. Pour the brownie mixture into the baking tray.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is slightly firm and there is still a slight wobble in the center.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool, once cooled remove from tin and cut brownies into your desired size (I usually do 12).
